Britt’s Bio

Hey guys!

Well, I am not sure if you would call this a Bio exactly, but this is a little bit about myself. I am a twenty-something military wife, ejoying this beautiful life that God has given me and sharing some of the highlights with you on this blog! I grew up in a very large family (seven kids- yeah I don’t know how my parents did it either) and there was never a dull moment. I love my family, and although we are far from perfect, I would not trade a single one of them for anything in the world.

God blessed me with an amazing husband and I honestly do not know what I would do without him by my side. He is one of the strongest and most caring people I know. We met in church when we were both in junior high and were friends for a long time before we started dating. We didn’t start  dating until he was a junior at the Air Force Academy and I was a sophmore at Champion Baptist College. We dated for a year and then he realized he couldn’t live without me….haha, just kidding. He did ask me to marry him a year later though- finally! No, we hadn’t been dating for a very long time, but I had my eye on him since highschool, so to me it really did feel like a VERY long time to wait for those words, “Will you marry me?”. We were married June 2012 and that day began our “Happily Ever After.”

Now, did I ever see myself becoming an Air Force wife? Absolutely not! I used to think “Oh those poor wives!”, and now I am one of them. I could not do it without the Lord on my side. Now I often think, “Wow, God really did have my future in mind and was preparing me all along the way.” I say this because we moved quite a bit when I was growing up, and I think that has and will help with the ever changing life of a military family. He knew all along who I would marry and what my life would be like. I know now, that he was preparing my heart and mind all along the way.

Currently, I am re-enrolling in college to complete a degree in Healthcare Administration and working a part-time Administrative Assistant job. I do my best to take care of and support my husband while he is in pilot training at CAFB, and although it does come with its challenging moments, I am enjoying it!

I started this blog as a way to just get my thoughts out there, but I hope in some way it might be a help and encouragement to others as well.

❤  Brittany
